The Winter Fund Projects
2024-2028
Every cent that A Low Hum earns from projects between 2024-2028 will be directed into The Winter Fund which is developing several projects as outlined below including some contestable funding.

Expected by mid 2027: $60,000 (if CALH2027 happens)
Hoped by mid 2027: $100,000+

Infest 2027
A 4-day event between the two weekends of Camp A Low Hum. Read more about what is planned for Infest here. Outcomes from Infest will feed into DIY Touring the World (vol 2.)
DIY Touring the World (Vol 2.)
The Winter Fund will cover all publishing costs with the aim to provide a copy of this book FREE to any active musician who wants one. The Winter Fund will also cover bulk shipping to several countries/regions to bring down the cost of shipping to local/regional.
Contestable Funding
From mid-2027 I'll be setting up a system for small grants for people with ideas that aid their existing DIY communities, build them or grow them. As well as grants, I'll be aiming to connect people with mentors and create connections where people can be lent equipment/time as well.

As Camp A Low Hum 2024 didn't actually make any money, this was funded by me (Blink) personally.
Upcoming Projects to Build the Fund
With the following projects, 100% of any income that A Low Hum earns will be directed to the fund.
A Low Hum Shop
April 2025. When Tickets for CALH2027 go on sale I'll also be re-launching my online shop which will include a whole ton of stuff that hasn't been available for a long time/ever.
The Art of A Low Hum
October 2025. A couple of books highlighting the artwork commissioned & renegade from the history of A Low Hum events, with a companion tour.
As Yet Untitled Camp Movie
February 2026. This film has been a labour of love that has taken 17 years, includes interviews with over 100 artists and will include almost 200 performances.
This film has cost me (Blink) a crazy amount of money and time, to the point it would simply never recoup, plus the bulk of the footage is supplied by campers who have volunteered it. Any musicians featured will be doing so on the understanding that ALL proceeds will go to The Winter Fund.

25 Years of A Low Hum
Late 2027.
This is not a festival. In fact, it's probably the strangest concept I've had for a show/s in my life... something I've had the idea of for a while but never really had the guts to do. Will be announced late 2026 or early 2027

Though the event didn't make any money to contribute to the fund, the infrastructure that Camp provided made it possible for Infest 2024 to happen.
Post-Camp 2024 Merch Sales
After Camp finished I set up an online shop to take orders for merch from those who missed out, this raised over $10,000 for the fund!
