Trading/Selling Tickets after 5pm, Feb 7th

The verification process I am offering for on-selling and trading tickets ends at 5pm Feb 7th.

What does this mean for trading after that date?

You can still absolutely buy and sell tickets after the 7th, but I (A Low Hum) will not be able verify the legitimacy of tickets so the risk is all the buyers.

In the verification process what I’ve been doing is voiding the original tickets and then issuing new ones. This means that the original purchaser cannot sell the same tickets again, or just use them anyway.

If you buy tickets after the 7th, you must trust A) that the person you are purchasing from will not try to use the tickets themselves. B) that they are valid tickets (perhaps ask for them to show you a copy of their bank statement showing they purchased them) and C) that they won’t also sell them to other people as well.

I’ve also managed to catch a bunch of scammers this year - they are usually easy to find. Generally they have no idea what Camp actually is and they want to paid with Venmo or PayPal. Absolutely do not pay anyone with those methods. It’s a huge red flag.

If you do not know the person you are buying from, at the bare minimum, make sure you are paying into an NZ or Australian bank account, ask them to screenshot their account name so you can see their name matches their social media profile/email address etc. Of course all that stuff is fakeable - but at least you’re doing some due diligence.

If you turn up to Camp and the ticket code has already been scanned or is invalid, the gate entry people won’t be able to help you :(

Do your research on the person you are purchasing from, do they have "mutual" friends online, can you find them on Linked-in if they're on typical social media. Please be sensible.

If you are thinking of coming to Camp, please organise your ticket ASAP.
