A Low Hum

Movement – A Film About Touring

“Between 2001 and 2012 photographer and events manager Ian Jorgensen toured with over 70 bands around the country. A tireless advocate of underground music, he worked with some of New Zealand’s most significant artists of the last decade while they were still developing a following (think Phoenix Foundation, Lawrence Arabia, Connan Mockasin, Die! Die! Die!, Disasteradio, Shocking Pinks). ‘Movement’ is a visual essay comprised of Jorgensen’s own archive video and photography - using the artists he worked with over that time as a springboard for meditations on touring, underground music in New Zealand, and Jorgensen’s DIY ethos.”
